Investment In The Tourism And Creative Economy Sector From The 2024 ITIF Forum Is Projected To Reach IDR 862.8 Billion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) revealed that until now the amount of investment included in the tourism sector from the results of the 2024 International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF) is projected to reach IDR 862.8 billion.

"In rapid, it is reported that the ITIF 2024 achievement process out of the number of participants is 750 out of 29 countries, an estimated 445 potential investors and a projected investment value of around IDR 862.8 billion or 52.9 million US dollars," said Adyatama of Tourism and Creative Economy. Nia revealed that the investment potential was generated from the 2024 ITIF which was attended by approximately 750 participants from 29 countries.

Through the signing of five memorandums of understanding (MoU), it was agreed that the investment in the management of the Taman Parapuar between the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority Tourism Center (BPOLBF) and PT PLN (Persero) UIW NTT; MoU in collaboration with the use of Lake View investment between the Lake toba Tourism Agency (BPODT) and PT Agung Toba Nauli.

As well as investment cooperation in the construction of a tourist cable car in Ciater, the construction of a natural studio Gamplong between JTA International Investment Holding and director Hanung Bramantyo.

Nia added that the progress of cooperation as a result of the ITIF event is still ongoing, even for investment in Labuan Bajo, it is recorded that the installation of electricity palms has been installed.

"The BPLOBF in terms of infrastructure has begun to be seen," he concluded.

Previously, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno conveyed the results of the 2024 ITIF event. First, regarding the meeting with UN Tourism, which stated that Indonesia was the first country to hold almost simultaneously two large conferences, namely the UN Tourism Conference on Women Empowerment in Bali, and then ITIF in Jakarta.

There is also an offer from UN Tourism for Indonesia to become a joint commission host, a meeting of the Asia Pacific UN Tourism in 2025 which has also been approved by him.

The third is a meeting with representatives of India who are exploring digital economic cooperation in the tourism sector and the creative economy.
