Mitsubishi Ready To Crash Australian Market With Eight New Models Until 2030, Electric Cars

JAKARTA Mitsubishi Australia has announced ambitious plans to present eight new models or facelifts in the next five years. This step was taken to strengthen Mitsubishi's dominance in the Australian market.

Australia's Mitsubishi CEO, Shaun Westcott, revealed that his company is focusing on increasing production of electric vehicles to suppress carbon emissions. Although it has not yet detailed what models will be launched, Westcott said that this strategy is part of the Mitsubishi roadmap until 2030.

"We have mapped our plans until 2030, and at least eight new products or those that have been completely overhauled will enter our portfolio," he said, quoted from the Drive page, Monday, September 2.

Westcott also affirmed Mitsubishi's commitment to supporting emission reduction and climate change mitigation efforts.

"Among the eight products, we will include a variety of advanced technologies ranging from hybrid, PHEV, to full BEV," he added.

One of the models awaiting his presence in Australia is the latest generation Pajero Sport, which is predicted to launch next year. In addition, the medium SUV, Outlander, is also rumored to be getting a major update, including a larger increase in battery capacity.

With a strong focus on environmentally friendly vehicles, the public is certainly looking forward to what new models will launch on the Australian market in the next few years.
