Paralympic Athletes Bonus Is The Same As The 2024 Olympics
JAKARTA The amount of bonuses that will be received by Paris 2024 Paralympic athletes will be the same as what Paris 2024 Olympic athletes get.
The information was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Dito Ariotedjo, at the Office of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
"The bonus must be the same. It has become the standard rules and habits of the President, who has been providing equal treatment and has never been different," said Dito.
At the 2024 Olympics, three medal-winning athletes for Indonesia were invited by President Joko Widodo to the State Palace, Jakarta, and were given bonuses in different amounts.

Two gold medalists, Rizki Juniansyah and Veddriq Leonardo, each received a bonus of IDR 6 billion. Meanwhile, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, who got bronze, received IDR 1.65 billion.
In addition, there is a bonus of IDR 2.75 billion for gold-winning coaches, IDR 675 million for bronze coaches, and IDR 250 million for each athlete and coach who does not get a medal.
At that time, the Indonesian contingent at the 2024 Olympics totaled 29 athletes from 12 sports (sports). Meanwhile, at the 2024 Paralympics there were 35 athletes spread across 10 sports.
"In terms of qualifying, the number of athletes increased significantly from 12 to 13. This is in the world arena or the Paralympics is not a small number, so we must appreciate and be proud," said Dito.
The Paralympics have officially opened on August 28, 2024 and will last until September 8, 2024. In total there are more than four thousand athletes from 169 countries fighting in Paris.
In the previous edition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which was postponed for a year due to the corona pandemic, Indonesia brought home two gold medals, three silver medals, and four bronze medals.
