Earning IDR 29.90 Trillion Profit In Quarter II-2024, BRI Optimistic Record Positive Performance Until The End Of 2024
JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) is optimistic that it can continue to record a sustainable positive performance in the future.
BRI President Director Sunarso expressed optimism that BRI's growth in health and sustainability could not be separated from the success of BRI Group in recording positive performance until the second quarter of 2024.
"With selective and prudent growth, BRI on a consolidated basis managed to score a profit of IDR 29.90 trillion until the end of the second quarter of 2024," said Public Expose Live 2024, August 29.
Sunarso said that this achievement could not be separated from BRI's lending which reached Rp1,336.78 trillion or grew 11.20 percent year on year (yoy).
Meanwhile, the MSME segment still dominates BRI's lending, with a portion reaching 81.96 percent of BRI's total lending, or around Rp1,095.64 trillion.
Sunarso said that the double-digit growth in loans made BRI's assets recorded an increase of 9.54 percent (yoy) to Rp1,977.37 trillion.
According to Sunarso, selective and prudent credit growth has made the Company able to maintain the quality of the credit disbursed.

Meanwhile, Sunarso said the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) was in the range of 3.05 percent with the NPL coverage ratio at an adequate level of 211.60 percent.
In terms of funding, Sunarso said that BRI's Third Party Funds (DPK) recorded a growth of 11.61 percent (yoy) to Rp1,389.66 trillion.
"Where low-cost funds or CASA (Development and Giro) still dominate the structure of the BRI DPK, where the CASA portion reaches 63.17 percent of the total BRI DPK," he said.
