Perseverance Starts Explore Jezero Crater Bank On Mars

JAKARTA Some time ago, NASA announced that the Perseverance rover would climb to the edge of the Jezero Crater. This rover robot will search and observe more samples on the Martian surface.

Over the past two months, the Perseverance rover robot has crossed and observed Neretva Vallis, this region full of rocks that have a popcorn-like and textured speckle pattern. After completing its task, Perseverance is now turning to another region. The rover has started climbing and starting a new exploration phase. The ground monitoring team will direct Perseverance to an area called Dox Castle. In this place, Perseverance will investigate contacts between the Margin Unit and the edge of the Jezero Crater. "(Perseverance will also observe) rough material that may be our first encounter with deposits formed during the collision that created the Jezero crater itself," NASA said in a recent report. NASA said that Perseverance will focus on investigating the bright colored rock in Dox Castle. The observer team will find out if these rocks are similar to samples previously collected in the region called Bright Angel.

"Throughout this next phase of exploration, comparing and contrasting the rocks we see on the edges with each other and with those previously explored in the mission will be an important part of our scientific investigation," NASA explained. The Perseverance team's target is still the same, namely collecting samples that can increase knowledge around the Jezero region. In addition, observers also want to know the surface conditions of Mars and the material in it to find out the origins of its formation.
