Candidates for governor and vice-governor arrive at the DKI KPU, Two Sections of Salemba Raya Road are Seen Smoothly

JAKARTA - Two sections of Jalan Salemba Raya leading from the Senen area to Matraman and vice versa were observed to be busy smoothly on Wednesday, August 28, noon.

From VOI's observation at around 13.00 WIB, the traffic flow on the two roads flowed smoothly without any accumulation of vehicles. Congestion only occurs around traffic lights or red lights on Jalan Salemba Raya near Carolus Hospital.

"Parking bags have been provided to the supporters. Please park in an orderly manner," said a member of the Police through a loudspeaker, Wednesday, August 28, afternoon.

Although a number of supporters of the Cagub and Cawagub candidate pairs in DKI Jakarta have begun to arrive, traffic access is still normal and smooth. The police have also not been seen diverting traffic flow around the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU office.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the diversion of traffic flow around the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU was situational.

"Traffic flow engineering will be implemented to see the development of field dynamics. If later around the KPU DKI Jakarta Province there are quite a lot of people and the escalation increases, we will carry out traffic engineering," he said when confirmed.

The police chief appealed to the road users to avoid the Jalan Salemba Raya area, which is the registration place for the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta and to look for other alternative roads to avoid traffic congestion.
