US Open 2024: Aldila Duet With Ena Shibahara
JAKARTA - Indonesian women's tennis player, Aldila Sutjiadi, will appear at the US Open 2024. At the event, she played in the women's doubles sector with Japanese tennis player, Ena Shibahara.
The pair will start their journey against the German and Slovak pair, Tatjana Maria/Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, local time.
"I am very happy to be back competing at the US Open. This year I want to go further," Aldila said in a statement received.
The US Open is one of four tennis Grand Slam events in a calendar year. This is the season-ending Grand Slam tournament.
Last year Aldila also played in this tournament. At that time, he managed to penetrate the round of 16 when he was paired with Miyu Kato, who is also a tennis player from Japan.
"I am very enthusiastic to be paired with Ena. We both have a complementary style of playing. I am sure we can give the best performance at the US Open 2024," said Aldila.

Aldila is an Indonesian women's tennis player who has achieved many achievements, both at the national and international levels since starting her professional career in 2010.
He is recorded to have won a gold medal at the Riau National Sports Week (PON) 2012, West Java 2016, Papua 2020, and a mixed doubles gold medal with Christopher Rungkat at the 2018 Asian Games.
Aldila also won Thailand Open and Trophee Clarins titles in Paris this year from women's doubles, mixed doubles gold medals from the 2019 and 2021 SEA Games, as well as the last gold medals in women's teams, mixed doubles, and women's doubles, at the 2023 Cambodian SEA Games.
