Liverpool Open Talks About Federico Chiesa's Transfer
JAKARTA - Liverpool have opened talks about the transfer of Federico Chiesa who was dumped by Juventus.
The Reds have negotiated with the Old Lady who will release the 26-year-old player cheaply.
Federico Chiesa is reportedly not included in the projected new Juventus coach, Thiago Motta, for the 2024/2025 season.
Chiesa joined Juventus four years ago in the hope of lifting the trophy rather than staying at Fiorentina.
During his four seasons in Turin, he has scored 32 goals in 131 matches. However, his contribution could not help Juventus lift a single title.
In addition, Chiesa began to appear inconsistent due to injury problems that reached her. As a result, the Old Lady was ready to throw away the midfielder for only 12.5 million pounds even though she still had a contract until June 2025.

Juventus even dared to lose around 45 million pounds from Fiorentina's purchase price.
This situation made Liverpool interested. Moreover, Arne Slot has not recruited a single player even though he has served at Anfield for 86 days.
World football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said Chiesa had given the green light to anchor to Merseyside.
If the transfer is successful, Chiesa will be the first player Slot has brought in this season.
The problem is just how the smart Slot mixes the team. You see, the front line has piled up with the presence of Mohammed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, and Luis Diaz.
While the midfield is Liverpool's weakest sector. They failed to sign Martin Zubimendi after being rejected.
Even so, it seems Slot still wants another striker for his front line. Liverpool are rumored to be trying to finalize the deal before the final day of the transfer market on Friday, August 30, 2024.
The Reds must move quickly. You see, Chelsea is also monitoring Chiesa if they fail to get Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
