PDIP Anti Dynastic Politics, Effendi Simbolon: Drowned With Megawati

JAKARTA - PDI-P politician Effendi Simbolon emphasized that his party did not adhere to a dynastic political system. This has been proven by Megawati choosing Joko Widodo as a presidential candidate in 2014, even though she is not related by blood and is not even a cadre of the bull party.

"There is no dynastic politics in the PDIP Perjuangan," said Effendi in an online polemic discussion entitled Senjakala Regeneration of Political Parties, Saturday, March 27.

Effendi guaranteed that PDIP cadres were very loyal to the daughter of the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno.

"PDIP is not a jargon, it comes down to Megawati. So we are a very loyalist ideological party. Not pragmatic," he said.

In fact, he guaranteed that he would not become a cadre again if Megawati was no longer in the PDIP body.

"I am also like that, maybe if the mother is no longer there, I will no longer be in the PDIP," said the man who had served as a member of the DPR 4 for the period.

On the other hand, Effendi said he was surprised by the recent political phenomenon. Where many parties are capable of making their family members in power.

"That's why I was dumbfounded later because of a strange phenomenon in this republic. How come I'm announcing all the unusual things," he said.

He also mentioned that President Joko Widodo, whose son-in-law and son became regional heads. Jokowi should have become an example so that other parties do not tolerate dynastic politics.

"Jokowi must also reflect on propriety," said Effendi.
