Megawati Talks Locked Up During The 2024 Pilkada: I Just Understand 'Against The Nation Alone'

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri alluded to the condition of her party which seemed to be locked up ahead of the 2024 Pilkada. She admitted that she was shocked by the situation.

This was conveyed by Megawati during a speech after giving a recommendation to the candidate for the third wave of regional head at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta today, Monday, August 26.

"I was also shocked, really, what I thought was that we were locked up, right? Oh my, I said, it's good to be locked up," said Megawati.

Megawati admitted that she had been in contact because she saw the condition of her party. In fact, he admitted that he had thought about his father who was also the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno or Bung Karno.

"What kind of rich you were, I was already desperate, cooking with my own nation 'hosted'. The nation itself is funny," said the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"But he did, you know, say, that it was easier for me to expel the invaders. Read the book Bung Karno, if we are going to fight our own nation later. I just understand, oh, why? With the dispuit that I want to perpetuate his power," continued Megawati.

Even so, Megawati did not want to drag on in this condition. He even joked that he signed a decree for the 2024 Pilkada along with PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and his son who is also the chairman of the PDIP DPP Prananda Prabowo.

"Alhamdulillah, we are only a few days away as one of the parties that will also take part in the regional elections, we must register from 27th, God willing, until 29 (August, ed)," he said.

So I, Mr. Hasto, Mr. Prananda all hands slashed. So if you don't win, there is a risk. Until every night I give, what is his name, given balul-balur, here he is given a coolie," said Megawati.

Not only that, he ensured that the nomination in the 2024 Pilkada was also free of money. However, Megawati is ready to provide recommendations for her best cadres including former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Andika Perkasa who was promoted in Central Java with former Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi.

"Try it even though Mr. Andika, no one gave me money. That's the PDI-P," he concluded.
