CENTRAL LOMBOK - The Narcotics Investigation Unit of the Central Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara, confiscated 7,340 grams of methamphetamine-type drugs on the bypass highway, West Praya District.
"The suspects were arrested on the Central Lombok Bypass highway, plans to be taken to the East Lombok and Bima Regencies," said Head of the Central Lombok Police Narcotics Unit, Iptu Fedi Miharja, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 26.
He said the evidence of methamphetamine was confiscated from three suspected perpetrators who were couriers, namely the initials R from Medan, J and I from Pekanbaru.
"This evidence was brought by land and sea from Pekanbaru via Bali and only to Bangsal," he said.
The alleged perpetrators get a salary of IDR 50 million per one drug package wrapped in a tea box. According to the perpetrator R's statement, they have twice delivered drugs to Lombok.
"First, there are 5 kilograms and the second is only 7 kilograms along with the other two perpetrators," he said.
The perpetrator was arrested last weekend based on information from the public. Members of the police conducted investigations and ambushes on perpetrators who used cars while crossing the bypass highway.
"The temporary suspicion that the confiscated drug evidence is an international network," he said.
