The Committee Asks The Police To Investigate The Mastermind Behind The Rejection Of The PKB Congress
NUSA Dua - Committee for the 6th Congress of the National Awakening Party (PKB) asked the police to investigate who was behind the mass action against the congress in Nusa Dua, Bali.
This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Steering Committee (SC) of the 6th Congress of Syaiful Huda when responding to the emergence of actions that had tried to enter the location of the congress.
"Regarding who is mobilizing, who is the intellectual actor and so on, we ask the police to investigate it," said Huda at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Saturday, August 24.
Huda emphasized that the criminal investigation of the mastermind behind the action against the congress was carried out in order to create a deterrent effect. This is because the Deputy Secretary General of the PKB emphasized that the congress is the party's highest decision-making forum which is protected by law
"This is the highest PKB forum, there is an implementation of indications of infiltration and even the potential to cause trouble in the main event. Therefore, we ask that the intellectual actors be investigated thoroughly," said Huda.
The action against the congress is suspected to be related to the feud between PKB and the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board which is heating up ahead of the change in PKB management.
They initially came on motorbikes and dozens of buses with gathering points at Lagoon Square, Nusa Dua. They also unfurled banners that read "return the PKB to NU". Also carried out the burning of banners by the masses.

Pecalang or Balinese traditional police dispersed a group of people wearing T-shirts bearing the PKB logo holding an action around the location of the 6th PKB Congress. The mass of action could not reach the location of the congress which was held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center.
Huda said that his party had traced the emergence of the action against the congress. Huda emphasized that they were not PKB cadres and wore t-shirts bearing party logos without permission. Huda assessed that this action was deliberately carried out to damage the conduciveness of holding the congress.
"As a result of our investigation, they are not cadres and are not PKB administrators. We also demand that they remove the clothes of the PKB attributes they use because they are not cadres and are not PKB administrators," said Huda.
