Officially Carrying Khofifah-Emil In The East Java Gubernatorial Election, NasDem: A Couple Who Don't Hang Out
The DPP NasDem Party officially carries the candidate pair for Governor-Vice Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Dardak in the 2024 Pilkada through the submission of the B.1-KWK document which will be submitted to the KPU.
The chairman of the NasDem Party DPP Willy Aditya explained the reason his party produced Khofifah-Emil. Willy said that Khofifah and Emil would be incumbent candidates who would last in the election contestation. There was no split of the partnership (pekong) between the two when they returned to the election.
"Couplers who don't stick together. There are many pekong pairs, and this is proof that the couple can last forever in running the government can transform and regenerate," said Willy at NasDem Tower, Central Jakarta, Friday, August 23.
Willy explained that NasDem had been in good relations with Khofifah for a long time. Khofifah is one of the figures who joined the NasDem declarator in 2010. In the 2018 East Java gubernatorial election, NasDem was also one of the parties that brought Khofifah-Emil.
"It's not foreign to us, this is Mrs. Khofifah Indar Parawansa. She is a national democrat declarator. So here it's back to home, yes, with Mr. Emil Dardak," said Willy.
Meanwhile, Khofifah admitted that she was ready to carry out the mandate of NasDem to run again as a candidate for Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java with Emil Dardak.

"This is a mandate that we will carry out, ready to work hard, make maximum efforts, and God willing, together with all strategic elements in East Java, the supporting parties, we are ready to work hard to achieve victory in the upcoming November 27 gubernatorial election," explained Khofifah.
Prior to NasDem, a number of parties that had also brought Khofifah-Emil, namely the Democratic Party, Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, PSI, PPP, and PKS. Only PDIP and PKB have not announced the promoted East Java cagub-cawagub pair.
