Pep Guardiola Is Given A Deadline Until Christmas To Determine His Fate At Manchester City
JAKARTA - Manchester City officials asked Pep Guardiola to make a decision regarding his future at Etihad until Christmas 2024.
Previously, the Spanish manager indicated that his togetherness at the Etihad Stadium might end soon. Rumors continue to circulate that he is predicted to lead the England national team.
Guardiola also did not deny the possibility of coaching the Three Lions.
"I have to decide what I want to do in my life. If I want to stay here, rest, coach the national team (England) or not, there are many things," Guardiola said at Sky Sports.
Guardiola admits that he no longer has a challenge with Manchester City. His motivation to win the Premier League and other titles is gone.
The 53-year-old coach revealed that he was hungry to find new challenges.

Moreover, the 2024/2025 season is Guardiola's last year in a contract with Manchester City. He is closer to leaving The Citizens than staying.
His statement which stated that the desire to win the fifth Premier League title in a row was considered only to inundate City fans so that they would not be confused.
Therefore, The Citizens officials asked Guardiola to immediately decide on his future with the last deadline for Christmas 2024.
You see, City needs to prepare itself if Guardiola really leaves. At least, there is half a season to find a suitable figure to replace the Spanish manager.
Sky Sports reports that City bosses have surrendered to Guardiola. If it persists, The Citizens predict the manager's contract won't be long either.
So, the point that is on the minds of City officials at this time is to keep taking the horses to find a new manager.
Apart from that, The Citizens will have to face many things in the coming season if Guardiola ends his term at the Etihad. They had to face 115 charges from the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola has eight seasons with Manchester City. He won six Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, and the Champions League.
For Guardiola, a new start may be the most exciting prospect. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager is likely to take a job as coach of the England national team.
The FA is currently looking for a permanent coach after handing the role over to Lee Carsley for a while.
