Mitsubishi Indonesia Is Waiting For Official Rules From Sri Mulyani Regarding The Relaxation Of PPnBM Cars For Pajero Cs
JAKARTA - PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) chose not to speculate further regarding the latest developments in the relaxation of the Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (PPnBM) which the government will impose on four-wheeled vehicles with a 1,500-2,500cc engine.
The Department Head of PR and CSR Development Division of MMKSI, Aditya Wardani, said that his party had heard the news regarding the number of incentive figures that would be disbursed by the government.
However, Mitsubishi Indonesia still adheres to the regulations released by the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani as the authority in determining this strategic policy.
According to him, the legal basis for the Minister of Finance is very important to determine further steps to be taken by the company.
"We still have to wait for the PMK regulation (Minister of Finance Regulation) and until the policy is 100 percent finalized", he told VOI, Friday, March 26.
Aditya added that his party promised to immediately announce the company's internal policies regarding the selling price of vehicles as soon as the PMK was released by the relevant authorities. Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Indonesia products that have the opportunity to get tax relief are the Pajero.
"Once the regulation has been issued, we will immediately respond", he said.
Previously, one of MMKSI's products, namely Xpander, was known to be included in one of the four-wheeled vehicles that received 0 percent PPnBM facilities for the 1,500cc engine car category.
Mitsubishi itself claims that there has been an increase in the number of orders after the incentive was implemented in early March.
"The number of SPK in the first week of March 2021 has increased quite significantly for Xpander, when compared to the same period in February 2021", said MMKSI Marketing Director Irwan Kuncoro some time ago.
For information, the Ministry of Industry is the first institution to provide information related to the number of tax incentives for the 1,500-2,500cc engine car category.
In a statement on the official website, the ministry led by Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said there were two schemes in the relaxation of large car PPnBM.
The first scheme is for 4x2 vehicles with a 50 percent PPnBM discount, from 20 percent to 10 percent for phase I (April-August 2021), and a 25 percent discount, from 20 percent to 15 percent for Phase II (September-December 2021).
While the next scheme for 4x4 vehicles is a discount of 25 percent, from 40 percent to 30 percent for Phase I (April-August 2021), and a discount of 12.5 percent, from 40 percent to 35 percent for Phase II (September-December 2021).
