Bosnian School Shooting Kills 3 People, Sanitation Officer Perpetrator Allegedly Hurt

JAKARTA - Three members of a high school staff member in the Bosnian city of Sanski Most died when a school employee shot them and then attempted suicide.

Police received information that a man on Wednesday, August 21 morning, opened fire at the school with an automatic rifle.

"The shooter killed the principal, secretary, and a teacher," said Una-sana regional police spokesman Adnan Beganovic.

"He tried to kill himself and was seriously injured," added Beganovic.

Currently, the suspect has been transferred for emergency treatment in the nearby city of Banja Luka.

The shooting occurred when the school had not reopened after the summer holidays, so no children were victims.

N1 TV, citing witnesses, said a janitor with a history of disputes with management and was under the disciplinary process, looked for certain people and shot them.
