Pamungkas Starts Travel From Zero Via Hardcore Romance Album

JAKARTA - Singers of the song Pamungkas released a new album titled 'Hardcore Romance'. This is the fifth album produced as a soloist.

Hardcore Romance is an important marker of Pamungkas' musical journey. This album is a calibration point, where the 31-year-old man returns to his musical early spirit after a brilliant journey over the past six years.

"I always tell the team, we start from zero again. Don't think yesterday was good, yesterday it was 'here', until 'there'. I think now the goal is to continue working," said Pamungkas in his statement, Wednesday, August 21.

In cultivating album material, Pamungkas deposited feelings, saw moments in life more wisely, and also efforts to remain calmer in the midst of a faster pace of life.

Above all, Pamungkas keeps his works in a positive perspective, even if they are born from bad experiences.

So, you could say this album is a portrait of the moments I go through in life. If you follow my album from the first, it will be felt how growth and different perspectives, from lyrics or from the selection of scores and tones," said Pamungkas.

And on the fifth album, Hardcore Romance is a process for me to grow, to interpret his move to become a fast-paced era. Somehow it balances me out as a person and makes me much happier and sound sleepless, even though there are still many thoughts," he continued.

In terms of musicality, this album has played a lot of Pamungkas explorations with electric guitars. He tried to put a lot of Stratocaster sounds on several tracks that presented a 'hardcore' aura, but also penetrated the realm of sweet ballads that showed the romance side'.

Pamungkas almost worked on the entire album alone, from songwriting, producing himself, recording almost all the instruments alone in the studio, to mixing.

The mastering of all the tracks on the album was done by Rhesa Aditya. The only involvement of others in filling the instruments is the drum content of his older brother, Raden Rohan, in the track Decided

In this way, Pamungkas tries to revive memories of being a completely limited and self-helped room musician.

Along with the release of the fifth album, Pamungkas also presented a single entitled 'Fight Some More' as a mainstay song.

'Fight Some More' is the fourth single from the Hardcore Romance album, after One Bad Day, New Feeling, and Decided. This song is packaged as a pop ballad with piano as an opening, which lyrically implies Pamungkas' struggle not to give up with what he is facing, although it is not easy.
