Indra Sjafri Gives Room For 6 New Descendants In The U-20 Indonesian National Team

JAKARTA - The U-20 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, admitted that he had prepared six places for new descendants in the team. This is related to the team's appearance in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification.

The agenda will take place on September 21-29, 2024. Currently, the U-20 Indonesian national team is currently undergoing a training camp (TC) in Jakarta, which is inhabited by 32 players.

Nevertheless, Indra Sjafri emphasized that in the TC agenda there will still be promotion and relegation stages. Therefore, the coach prepared 50 names for the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification.

"There are still (promotions). As of August 21, 2024, we have to register 50 players with the AFC," said Indra Sjafri in his statement in Jakarta quoted on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

From the slot mentioned, Indra Sjafri said he would leave six places to fill additional descent players. Currently, the new coach recommends three descendants, namely the Geypens Team, Mauresmo Hinoke, and Dion Markx.

"We still have six players left which we may later fill in. If Allah allows, we qualify from the (U-20 2025 Asian Cup) Qualification."

"Maybe the six (players) we are waiting for, we are taking care of the players of descent," he said.

In the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup Qualification, the U-20 Indonesian national team joined Group F with Yemen, Timor Leste, and Maldives.

However, before appearing on the agenda, the U-20 Indonesian national team will first take part in a mini tournament in South Korea.

The U-20 Indonesian national team will meet Argentina, South Korea, and Thailand, from August 28 to September 1, 2024 at the trial tournament.
