Iranian President Pezeshkian Hopes Parliament Will Agree To His Choice Cabinet Today

JAKARTA - President Masoud Pezeshkian hopes that Iranian MPs will provide a vote of trust to all cabinet ministers he proposed in Wednesday's session.

He told reporters after attending the final day of his ministerial candidate qualification review on Tuesday.

"We are trying to create the same language and vision to achieve government plans and plans that have been mutually agreed upon between the government and parliament. I hope we fulfill our obligations by doing our best and the parliament will help us and we will continue what we have said," said President Pezeshkian., reported Mehr News Agency August 21.

"I hope parliament will provide a vote of trust to all proposed ministers," he said.

He also emphasized the importance of collaboration and cooperation between his government and Parliament to overcome various problems.

President Pezeshkian handed over his list of ministers of choice to the Iranian parliament on August 11, nearly two weeks after his inauguration ceremony. Parliament is scheduled to convene Wednesday for a vote of confidence in the 19 ministers he elected.

The President stated that not a single ministerial candidate was elected without consultation with state officials, quoted from Tasnim.
