Kadin Boss: Appointment Of Minister Is Needed To Support Government Transition

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid said the appointment of ministers, deputy ministers, and heads of agencies by President Joko Widodo yesterday was needed to support the transition of government running well, smoothly and effectively.

"The business world supports the stability of the elected government transition in order to maintain a conducive business climate so as to provide certainty for business actors and investors to run the national economy," said Head of Kadin Arsjad Rasjid as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 20.

Arsjad said that as a representative organization for the business world, Kadin is ready to collaborate to support ministers and heads of agencies in carrying out their duties to encourage national economic growth.

He said that with strong synergy and cooperation between the government and the business world, Indonesia will be more resilient in facing global challenges and continue to work together for Advanced Indonesia, especially achieving economic growth of eight percent and the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

"We congratulate the inauguration of Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman Andi Atgas, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment/BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Angga Raka, and Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi, Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana, and Head of the Taruna Ikrar Food and Drug Supervisory Agency," he said.

President Jokowi at the State Palace, Jakarta, Monday, inaugurated a number of ministers and deputy ministers, namely Supratman Andi Agtas as Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham), Bahlil Lahadalia who was inaugurated as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Rosan Roeslani as Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM, and Angga Raka Prabowo as Deputy Minister of Communication and Information (Wamenkominfo).

The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree Number 92P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period.

On the same occasion, President Jokowi also appointed Hasan Nasbi as Head of the Presidential Communication Office, Taruna Ikrar as Head of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency, and Dadan Hindayana as Head of the National Nutrition Agency.

The inauguration was based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 94B of 2024 concerning the Appointment of the Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Presidential Decree Number 93B of 2024 concerning the Appointment of the Head of the Presidential Communication Office, and Presidential Decree Number 115/PPA of 2024 concerning the Appointment of Main High Leadership Officials within the BPOM.

On October 20, 2024, President Jokowi will hand over the baton of government leadership to President-elect Prabowo Subianto.
