PDIP Make Sure It Won't Pull Its Cadres From Jokowi's Cabinet Except For 'expelled'
The PDI-P (PDIP) has confirmed that it will not withdraw its cadres after President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has reshuffled or reshuffled his cabinet today, Monday, August 19. There is a mandate that must be maintained.
"Meanwhile, the PDIP itself has no plans to withdraw cadres from the cabinet because our commitment is to uphold the mandate," said PDIP DPP chairman Deddy Yevri Sitorus in a written statement, Monday, August 19.
Deddy said the people had won the PDIP in the 2014 and 2019 presidential elections. Thus, the party bearing the bull symbol will continue to work in the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government cabinet until the end.
"The only thing that can cancel it is if the president himself wants to expel PDIP cadres from the cabinet," he said.
President Jokowi has officially removed Yasonna H. Laoly as Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham). He was replaced by Supratman Andi Agtas today, Monday, August 19.
This replacement is based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 92/P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period.
Currently, there are four PDIP cadres who are still in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the period 2024-2029. They are Pramono Anung who is the Cabinet Secretary Minister; Tri Rismaharini who serves as Minister of Social Affairs; Minister of PANRB held by Azwar Anas; and Bintang Puspayoga as Minister of PPA.
