4 Days Of Broadcast, Kang Mak From Pee Mak's Film Reaches 1.2 Million Viewers

JAKARTA - Kang Mak from Pee Mak's film dominates theaters today. In four days of screening, this film received 1.2 million viewers.

Falcon Pictures as the production house announced the good news through social media. Over the weekend, they managed to reap more than 356 thousand viewers.

"A true army force who has gone to the cinema to watch #KangMak THANK YOU!", said the production house.

"Kang Mak from Pee Mak - 1,236,673 army troops," wrote the Instagram account @falconpictures_ on Monday, August 19.

With this number, the film Kang Mak immediately occupies the best-selling Indonesian film in 9th place in 2024. This figure is likely to continue to grow considering that the film is still through the first week of airing.

The film Kang Mak from Pee Mak is a comedy horror film adapted from Pee Mak from Thailand. The film directed by Banjong Pisanthanak was released in 2013. In the Indonesian version, the film Kang Mak is directed by Herwin Novianto and the script is written by Alim Sudio.

The film Kang Mak from Pee Mak tells the story of Kang Mak (Vino G. Bastian) who works as a soldier and leaves his wife, Sari (Marsha Timothy) in a big state of pregnancy. Without knowing his condition, an incident made Sari die during bleeding.

A few months later, Kang Mak finished his job and invited his friends in arms to stop by his house before returning home. Those who were initially interested, were suspicious of Sari's movements until they realized that Sari had become a ghost.

Fajrul (Indra Jegel), Solah (Rigen Rakelna), Jaka (Tora Sudiro), Supra (Indro Warkop) are determined to tell Kang Mak that his wife is dead. But it was not easy because they also experienced challenges when they wanted to save Kang Mak.
