JAKARTA - The Democratic Party is optimistic that the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair which will be announced by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) plus other political parties or KIM 'Plus' can bring success in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. It is known that KIM Plus will announce Jakarta's cagub-cawagub on Monday, August 19, afternoon. The declaration will take place at 16.00 WIB at the Sultan Hotel Jakarta. Previously, information regarding the declaration of the Ridwan Kamil-Suswono pair by KIM Plus will take place at night at 19.00 WIB, but the event will certainly be advanced. "We certainly welcome this declaration plan. We are optimistic that this pair will be able to bring success to KIM Plus in the upcoming Jakarta gubernatorial election," said Deputy for Bappilu Democratic Party, Kamhar Lakumani, Monday, August 19. Kamhar assesses Ridwan Kamil and Suswono will meet the qualifications as cagub and cawagub Jakarta. Because he said, Ridwan Kamil and Suswono are already experienced in the government. "Kang Emil successfully led Bandung City as Mayor and West Java Province as Governor. Mr. Suswono too, experienced as Chairman of Commission IV DPR-RI and Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia in the second term of the Government of Mr. SBY," said Kamhar. "So both have adequate qualifications to lead Jakarta," he continued.

Kamhar also believes Ridwan Kamil will not fight the empty box in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. Because, said Kamhar, there are already Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana who meet the requirements for support and can register in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election through independent channels. "In the Jakarta gubernatorial election there is almost no possibility of fighting an empty box, considering that there is a Paslon that goes through an individual or independent path. This is of course positive, presenting options for Jakarta residents to choose and determine which pair will lead Jakarta in the next period," he concluded.
