This Is The Opulent Velocity, The Hypercar Luxury Concept Car From Cadillac

JAKARTA - Cadillac officially introduces Opulent Velocity, a vehicle concept featuring two experiences from the perfect combination of innovative designs and prestigious and high-tech performances.

This car is said to not only be a manifestation of the vision of the future for Cadillac V-Series in terms of electrical performance, but also emphasizes Cadillac's position as a pioneer in electric vehicle (EV) technology and autonomous driving technology.

Visually, Opultent Velocity attracts attention with its low siluet and modern front fascia. The car is also equipped with a dramatic butterfly-type large door, providing easy and elegant access into the cabin. Its smooth and proportional exterior is further confirmed by the typical vertical lighting of Cadillac and 3D light grip that highlights the splendor of modern technology. Meanwhile, Gilded Pearl's soft and elegant exterior color adds a luxurious impression on this car.

"Opulent Velocity is an experience-based design study that combines advanced technology with luxury in combining Cadillac leadership in hands-free driving skills, electrification, and performance excellence," said Cadillac Design Global Executive Director Bryan Nesbitt, quoted from the company's release, August 19.

In Opportent's experience, Cadillac explores personal freedom that can be generated by fully autonomous mobility. With Level 4 autonomous capabilities, drivers can experience truly hands-free driving experience, where all senses are involved in a calming atmosphere. These modes can be accessed through the full wide screen and Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR HUD), which provides advanced and futuristic looks.

Cadillac also takes advantage of scientific findings about sound waves and light in the development of Opultent Velocity. These findings are applied to all cabins, creating a personalized and immersive environment through perfectly curated art, entertainment, and ambient lighting.

While Velocity's experience is suitable for those looking for a maximum driving sensation, it presents a hypercar-style experience while maintaining the typical luxury of Cadillac V-Series. This mode is enabled with touch to a multi-functional controller, where the car automatically switches from autonomous mode to high performance mode. The steering wheel and pedal will appear, inviting the driver to take over control.

Inspired by the test-tested Blackwing technology on racing tracks, Velocity offers a unique driving experience, including the "Ghost Car" feature on the HUD screen that guides drivers on competitive track.

In addition, Velocity's experience provides the ability to regulate driving upgrades, including road overlays, active information on road conditions, and full control over suspension settings and active aerodynamics.
