Carlo Ancelotti Looks At Real Madrid's Target, Ready To Fight For La Liga Title

JAKARTA - Carlo Ancelotti has had a brilliant season with Real Madrid in recent years. In this season, Don Carlo is also optimistic that he can defend the La Liga trophy with El Real.

Real Madrid, who are the defending champions, will start LaLiga's inaugural match by visiting Mallorca headquarters at the Mallorca Son Moix Stadium, Monday morning WIB.

"The league starts tomorrow. We are excited about it and we want to defend the title we deserved last season," Ancelotti said.

"It's always difficult for us to fight Mallorca. Now they have changed coaches and other very experienced and capable coaches have come in. We have to fight to win the game," said Ancelotti.

The Italian coach now has a tough task because he has to make up the El Real squad to face six competitions this season. Apart from LaLiga, Real Madrid will also compete in the Spanish Super Cup, Copa del Rey, UEFA Champions League, Club Club World Cup and Intercontinental Cup.

"We don't know how many competitions we have to play because the Club Club World Cup and Intercontinental Cup are not clear enough. Even so, we will compete in everything and in all the matches we have in front of us," said the former AC Milan coach.

"Calender demands that we only focus on the games we have to play, starting tomorrow. We have to think about preparing things every three days because that's what the calendar demands, but with this squad we can compete in all competitions," added Ancelotti.

Facing Mallorca, Real Madrid will certainly lose Eduardo Camavinga who suffered an injury during a training session ahead of the European Super Cup against Atalanta last week. Apart from Camavinga, El Real is also still missing David Alaba who is in the process of recovering from injury.
