FIFA President Congratulates RI's 79th Anniversary, Uploads Photos With Prabowo

JAKARTA - FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated RI's 79th Anniversary through his personal Instagram.

In an upload on Saturday, August 17, 2024, Infantino was seen sharing his photos while in Indonesia, the 2023 U-17 World Cup, as well as with a number of shops, such as President-elect Prabowo Subianto and PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir.

"I wish everyone Independence Day in Indonesia and those who celebrate around the world," Infantino wrote in his uploaded statement.

Infantino further revealed that he enjoyed the moment in Indonesia during the 2023 U-17 World Cup.

"I really enjoy being with people and football lovers in this beautiful country during the FIFA U-17 World Cup last year and will continue to strive to make sure you get more reasons to celebrate our beautiful sport," he wrote again.

As is known, Indonesia successfully organized the 2023 U-17 World Cup tournament which took place on November 10-2 December 2023.

This success makes Indonesia have a great opportunity to get an opportunity from FIFA to run as the host of other world football tournaments.

So far, Indonesian football is also moving positively. One of them is the construction of a number of FIFA standard infrastructures, including the PSSI Training Center in the Capital Archipelago (IKN).

In addition, there are eight other stadiums that are being renovated and in collaboration with FIFA, namely North Sumatra Main Stadium, Teladan Stadium, Patriot Stadium, Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Kanjuruhan Stadium, Sidoarjo Delta Stadium, Joko Samudro Stadium, and Segiri Stadium.
