SEA V League 2024 Results: Indonesia Wins First Victory After Beating The Philippines

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Men's Volleyball national team won their first victory in the 2024 SEA V League First Series. They managed to overthrow the host Philippines with a score of 3-1 at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Indonesia fought tightly against the Philippines in the first set. However, the concentration on crucial points made the Red-White Team fail to secure the first set.

After chasing a number, the Philippines managed to maintain its advantage to close the set with a score of 25-23 within 33 minutes.

In the second set, Indonesia managed to get up. Had a fierce battle at the start of the set, Dio Zulfikri and colleagues shot up and won 25-19.

Indonesia was able to reduce its own mistakes and poor coordination in the second set. They were able to get 17 points from attacks. Two additional points were obtained from the block, one point from service, and five points from the opponent's error.

Awakening continues in the third set. Indonesia even won a landslide of 25-11. The Philippines was far behind from the start and finally gave up Indonesia to lead 2-1.

In the determination set, the Philippines tried to get out of the pressure to equalize. They fought tight in points.

However, the better Indonesia's attacks overwhelmed the Philippines. In the end, Indonesia was able to secure the fourth set with a score of 25-21.

That figure resulted from 18 attacks, two blocks, and five errors from the opponent within 27 minutes.

Indonesia finally won its first victory in the 2024 SEA V League. Previously, in the inaugural tournament match, the Red-White Team lost with a landslide score of 0-3 from Thailand.

Next, Indonesia will face Vietnam on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in the last match of the 2024 SEA V League First Series.
