Playing Recording Allegedly Jokowi's Voice Says It Can Enforce Law Enforcement, Secretary General Of PDIP: Must Be Clarified To The President

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto revealed a recording of the alleged voice of President Joko Widodo. In the recording that Hasto kept in his cellphone, it is suspected that Jokowi could deploy law enforcement officers.

"There is a video circulating of how Pak Jokowi said he would use the law and provide guidance to the Chairman of the KPK, to the Attorney General, the National Police Chief. That was the video I received," said Hasto when met at the PDIP DPP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Saturday, August 17.

Hasto then played the recording. However, he only played the voice recording which he called Jokowi, without showing the video. He also did not explain the context of the statement in the recording.

"Don't play games, once again, what makes me, through my own way. It can be through the KPK, you can. It can be through the Police, you can. Through the Prosecutor's Office, I will just whispered, there are those who play games. Yes, when I want to take a peek myself, it's impossible," said a statement in a recording played by Hasto.

Hasto also asked Jokowi to clarify the truth of the statement in the recording. Because, it is feared that this will create a bad perception in the application of democracy in Indonesia.

"That must be clarified by the President because this is dangerous in democracy and law enforcement if it is true," said Hasto.

Hasto also considered that the statements on the recordings he played were not wise. Coinciding with the momentum of the commemoration of Indonesia's independence, Hasto emphasized that everyone should be able to express freedom of expression.

"This is our independence day, which should be with independence, everyone is free and responsible in expressing their opinion but must be in the corridor of law, corridor of national interest, not to be intimidated," he explained.
