Vice President Ma'ruf Amin: I Hope Mas Gibran Can Work Well, Focus On Facing Challenges

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin advised Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to be able to work focused on facing challenges in the future that are not easy.

The message was conveyed by Vice President Ma'ruf while attending the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Saturday, August 17.

"Just talk normally. We will focus on facing the challenges that are not easy for the next two months," said Vice President Ma'ruf when giving a statement at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA.

In a discussion with Gibran, Vice President Ma'ruf emphasized that his term of office is only two months away. This is because the schedule for the inauguration of the elected president and vice president will be held on October 20, 2024.

Therefore, the Vice President hopes that Gibran can work well and focus on facing challenges that are not easy, such as global and national problems, geopolitical, food, and energy.

Vice President Ma'ruf Amin together with Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka sat side by side while watching a video of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence which was held in the capital city of Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

The vice president, accompanied by Mrs. Wury Ma'ruf Amin, wore traditional clothes similar to those from the Malay Sambas Tribe from Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, Gibran accompanied by Selvi Ananda wearing a blue Lampung traditional dress at night with a gold head ornament.

In addition to the morning ceremony, the Vice President and Mrs. Wiry Ma'ruf Amin are also scheduled to attend the red and white flag lowering ceremony at the Merdeka Palace Courtyard, Jakarta, Saturday afternoon.
