President Jokowi Becomes Inspector Of The Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony At IKN

PENAJAM - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) acts as Inspector of the Commemoration Ceremony of Proclamation Seconds at the State Palace Ceremony Field in the Capital of the Archipelago (IKN), East Kalimantan.

President Jokowi arrived at the Honorary Mimbar at around 10:56 WITA accompanied by Mrs. Iriana Jokowi.

"Report, the Proclamation Seconds Ceremony in commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence 2024 is ready to start," said Inf Colonel Nur Wahyudi's Ceremony Commander to the Ceremony Inspector as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, August 17.

Shortly thereafter, a cannon blast was heard echoing as a sign of commemoration of the Proclamation Seconds and ready to start a ceremony marking the historic moment of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on the first occasion at IKN.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, has acted as a reader of the text of the Proclamation which is broadcasted in a hybrid manner at IKN and Jakarta.

President Jokowi accompanied by Elected President Prabowo Subianto led the ceremony by guiding a procession of silence, and witnessing the raising of Sang Saka Merah Putih by Paskibraka Nasional.

The ceremony was attended by various high-ranking officials and important guests, as well as equipped with strict security to ensure smooth and celebration security.

A number of high-ranking state officials who were also present included MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo, DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, cabinet ministers such as Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuldjono, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.

Also Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
