Ministry Of PUPR: Quota For FLPP 166,000 House Units Sold Out In August 2024

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that the quota for Home Ownership Loans (KPR) for Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) in 2024 was 166,000 subsidized housing units this August.

Secretary General of the Ministry of PUPR Mohammad Zainal Fatah said the village quota for the FLPP mortgage was due to the lower figure compared to 2023 which reached 229,000 subsidized housing units.

"According to the calculation of the People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), this August has run out. Everything has been distributed," said Zainal when met after a press conference on the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget and the 2025 Financial Note at the office of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Friday, August 16.

Zainal said that his party had proposed this year's FLPP quota addition to the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

However, he said, until now there has been no signal that subsidized housing financing facilities provided to low-income people (MBR) will be added.

"I don't know yet, the money is not with us. However, the principle in terms of program we propose (a quota increase) because we see there is a need and indeed this year it is smaller," he said.

Previously, the Director General of Public Works and Housing Infrastructure Financing at the Ministry of PUPR Herry Trisaputra Zuna said the government had allocated Rp13.72 trillion for 166,000 housing units this year.

The allocation is less than the realization of FLPP 2023 which amounted to IDR 26.3 trillion for 229,000 housing units.

"This number is lower than 2023. However, in accordance with the results of the internal meeting on October 27, 2023, the government is committed to meeting the needs of FLPP funds in 2024 to become 220,000 units," said Herry on the 2024 Property Outlook agenda: Prospects of Housing Financing in Political Years online, quoted Wednesday, February 28.
