Jokowi Reads The Economic Growth Target For The First Year Of The Prabowo-Gibran Government At 5.2 Percent
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveyed the macro assumption in the 2025 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN). He targets economic growth in 2025 of 5.2 percent.
The economic growth target will be carried out in the first year of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administrations.
"Economic growth is estimated at 5.2 percent," he said in a speech delivering the 2025 RAPBN and Financial Notes, at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Friday, August 16.
Jokowi said the target is based on global economic conditions that are still relatively stagnant, our economic growth will rely more on domestic demand.
"People's purchasing power will be closely guarded, with inflation control, job creation, and support for social assistance and subsidies programs," he said.

In addition, Jokowi also targets inflation to be maintained at 2.5 percent. He said the government would continue to strive for an increase in export-oriented high-valued products, supported by competitive fiscal incentives while maintaining fiscal sustainability.
"The flow between fiscal, monetary and financial sectors will be maintained to accelerate economic growth and maintain financial system stability," he explained.
