Puan Asks For State Budget Funds To Be Allocated More For The People
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani said that the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) funds come from public money so that state spending, must be more allocated and effective in facilitating the people.
Puan said that the APBN funds must be more allocated to the public in obtaining health services, education, economic empowerment, building facilities and infrastructure in supporting people's economic activities and so on.
"The government must be able to have measurable indicators of all program budget allocations in every ministry and institution," he said at the Opening of the First Session Period of the DPR RI for Session Year 2024-2025, Friday, August 16.
According to Puan, this shows that state spending meets the criteria for spending quality or spending better, and not just better shopping or better to spending.
In addition, Puan conveyed that the Government must solve various structural problems, so that the target of greater economic growth is so that Indonesia can get out of the middle income trap.
Puan added that besides that, such as structural problems, namely food sovereignty, energy, economic inequality, poverty, job creation, industry, people's economy, human resources, and so on.

"There is still a lot of homework to be done. This is our challenge going forward, which must get effective handling from the aspects of policies, programs, budgets, governance, and human resources of the government," he said.
Therefore, Puan conveyed that in the future the government should be able to solve structural problems in various fields in order to create an increasingly inclusive acceleration of people's progress and welfare.
