Four Women Suspected Of Burning Cooperative Barracks In West Aceh Detained By Police
The West Aceh Police have detained four women from Teumarom Village, Woyla District, in connection with the burning of a cooperative-owned barracks.
"The four residents we have detained have previously been named as suspects in the burning of a barracks that occurred on Saturday, July 13, 2024," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Aceh Police, Iptu Fachmi Suciandy, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 16.
The four suspects who have been detained since Thursday, August 15, namely the initials H (55 years), AY (29 years), SA (20 years), and M (43 years).
Meanwhile, another suspect with the initials R (38 years), said Fachmi, was not detained because based on the results of the medical examination, the suspect was pregnant.
"All the suspects in this case are female," said Iptu Fachmi Suciandy.
In this case, the police also secured a number of evidences, including three round pieces of wood that were allegedly used for vandalism.
Then two bottles of used bottled drinks that allegedly contained fuel were used to burn the barracks.

According to the police, this arson case occurred due to land claims, resulting in the arson.
In this case, the police charged the five suspects with allegedly violating Article 187 paragraph (1) and Article 170 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum imprisonment of 12 years.
"The five suspects are suspected of committing a crime by intentionally causing a fire, and the crime is deliberately jointly destroying the goods," said Iptu Fachmi Suciandy.
