The Boss Of The Peruvian Gang Who Was Hunted For Killing Retired Police Arrested By US Immigration

JAKARTA - The gang boss from Peru Gianfranco Torres-Navarro (38) was arrested by US immigration in New York.

Torres-Navaro was arrested by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) team after receiving information from the Peruvian Homeland Security authorities about his search.

Torres-Navarro has now been transferred to the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility in Batavia, New York, pending the immigration enforcement process.

"Gianfranco Torres-Navarro poses a significant threat to our community, and we will not allow New York to become a safe place for non-US dangerous citizens," said ICE Buffalo Field Office Director Thomas Brophy.

The man fled to the United States after allegedly killing a retired police officer, according to Peru media.

Torres-Navarro entered the United States around Rome, Texas, on May 16, according to ICE. Now the man is waiting for the follow-up process of immigration enforcement.
