Jokowi Attends The MPR Annual Session Wearing Betawi Traditional Clothing
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo attended the annual session of the MPR/DPR/DPD RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 16. Jokowi and First Lady Iriana wore traditional Betawi clothes.
The main agenda of the MPR Annual Session began with an introductory speech from the Chairperson of the MPR in the context of the MPR annual session. Then, it was followed by the President's Speech in order to submit reports on the performance of state institutions and state speeches in the context of the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and his wife, Wurry Ma'ruf Amin were previously seen. He was seen wearing traditional Palembang clothes and his wife wore traditional Betawi clothes.
The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, has also been present to attend the 2024 MPR annual session. Puan wore a meratabaru kebaya with gold nuances.

Previously, it was reported that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would deliver two speeches at the DPR Annual Session, MPR, DPD RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 16, 2024.
It is known that Jokowi entered retirement as head of state on October 20, 2024. So, today is Jokowi's last time to deliver a state speech at the DPR/MPR/DPD Annual Session.
