Disdik Check Daycare Throughout Pekanbaru In The Aftermath Of Implementation Not Giving Children Food So They Don't Defecate

RIAU - Pekanbaru City Education Office (Disdik) examined licensing of all day care or child care sites after the physical violence incident in one deposit in the Simpang Tiga area some time ago. "We check licensing in all day care in this city. We don't want to be missed again," said Head of Pekanbaru City Education Office Abdul Jamal, Thursday. His party cooperated with related agencies to examine this permit. Among them are the Civil Service Police Unit, Child Protection Commission, the Office of Women's Empowerment for Child Protection and Community Empowerment, as well as the One Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service. Jamal said that his party noted that there were 500 Early Childhood Education places in Pekanbaru. This number includes learning groups and child care sites.

Regarding the case of child care, he emphasized that he had never issued a permit for the Early Steps Day Care manager.

He said that day care licensing is included in the processing of PAUD permits or learning groups that have a place for child care. Management of PAUD permits, family planning to day care, he continued, is in the DPMPTSP. Meanwhile, the issuance recommendations come from the Pekanbaru City Education Office. "Until now, Early Steps Day Care has not had a recommendation from us. They have also never submitted any recommendations at all," said Jamal. He realized that the number of employees in Disdik was limited. He invited the public to report when they found unauthorized day care.
