The Mazda EZ-6 Electric Sedan Will Explore The European Market For The 2024 Fall

JAKARTA - Mazda EZ-6 was first introduced last April at the Beijing Auto Show 2024. The sedan, known as Mazda 6's successor, was developed by Changan-Mazda, a joint venture between Chinese manufacturer Changan and Mazda.

This car is said to mark the brand's first steps in China's electrification segment. Now, the sedan is confirmed to be a production model for the global market, one of which is Europe.

Reporting from Autocar, Thursday, August 15, the factory based in Hiroshima has signed an export cooperation agreement for electric vehicles with the joint venture and will become an exclusive new energy R&D in China and a production base facing the global market.

Thus, this announcement paved the way for the model to become Mazda's first new energy product globally. It is also reported that this model will enter the Chinese and European markets starting this fall.

Previously, Chief Operating Officer of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) Ricky Thio, said that his party was discussing this with Mazda to bring EZ-6 to Indonesia, but he did not want to give certainty of the time.

"We are communicating with them about this. But I can't say for sure when," Ricky said some time ago.

This sedan has a length dimension of 4,921 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, and a height of 1,485 mm. Mazda's distinctive characteristics are seen in the ornamental grains on the front culling making it look elegant for the EREV and pure BEV versions to come with a closed grip like an electric car in general.
