The BUMN Hospital Holding Has Not Planned To Open A Hospital At IKN
JAKARTA - The BUMN Hospital Holding, PT Pertamina Bina Medika Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) will not build a hospital in the near future in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN).
"In the meantime, IKN has not been directly at IKN because we got 2025," said Acting President Director and Medical Director of PT Pertamina Bina Medika IHC Lia G Partakusuma as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 14.
However, it is recorded that there is a Pertamina Balikpapan Hospital (RSPB) which will increase its accreditation to class B which can be taken about 1.5 hours from IKN.
In the future, he continued, in September or October this year there will be the Balikpapan Panorama Hospital which will be upgraded to type C, which was previously a clinic.
"This Balikpapan Panorama Hospital, type C Hospital, which may have been 95 percent, will be open next month," he said.
The IHC, said Lia, prefers to develop hospitals in Balikpapan because the city has a large and potential market share.
The development of the two hospitals in Balikpapan was also encouraged because of the consideration that there were already several hospitals in the IKN area, while the residents who oversee the area are not too much and the current focus of the IHC is on fixing the assets of the hospitals that are members of the holding.

Lia admitted that there were several challenges faced by the BUMN Hospital, one of which was the hospital building which was calculated to be old and needed repairs, which included infrastructure and services.
"The challenge for the BUMN Hospital was established for a long time, there were 50 years or even 100 years, the name is PTPN, we are plantations, including BUMN, it has been 100 years. So we need to improve infrastructure, improve human resources, that service we are facing," he concluded.
