Ukraine Attacks Military Air Base With Largest Drone

JAKARTA - Ukraine launched its biggest drone/drone attacks on four Russian military airfields.

Ukraine's security source told Reuters on Wednesday, August 14, that it was aimed at weakening Russia's ability to use warplanes to carry out bomb attacks.

On the other hand, Ukraine shot down 17 of its 23 Russian-launched drones in attacks that damaged infrastructure in some areas.

Reported by Reuters, Russian troops also launched two Kh-59/69 guided missiles to attack Ukraine.

Ukraine's national power grid operator, Ukrenergo, said Russian drones hit energy facilities and caused temporary power outages for customers in parts of the Chernihiv region.

On Wednesday, August 14 morning, Russian troops also attacked energy facilities in the southern region, Ukrenergo said, without providing details.

Russia carried out a series of airstrikes against Ukrainian energy facilities this spring.

Kyiv said the attack destroyed half of its power generation capacity, forcing it to carry out a rotating blackout.

Meanwhile, Russia says energy infrastructure is a legitimate military target and denies targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure.
