Tokyo Tech And Sampoerna University Strengthen Partnerships To Support Science And Technology Education

JAKARTA The Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) met with Sampoerna University on Wednesday, August 14 to continue a cooperation agreement signed in September last year. Tokyo Tech's visit was attended by six representatives, including Tokyo Tech President Kazuya Masu, Vice President for Strategic Initiati Akira Yamada, Vice President of Government and Industry Relations Yoichi Oshima, and others. George Irawan, CEO of the Sampoerna Foundation, welcomed both Tokyo Tech's visit and their ongoing collaboration. George hopes that this collaboration can be improved to advance knowledge in science and technology. "We look forward to exploring collaborative research opportunities that can answer global challenges and advance science, which will benefit both our institutions and the wider community," George said in his statement. In addition to making visits to strengthen partnerships, the two also held a General Lecturer session. In this session, Kazuya Masu said that the future of education in science and technology relies on collaboration globally.

"By working together (with Sampoerna University), we can create many innovative solutions to answer difficult challenges today," said Kazuya Masu. Kazuya added that Tokyo Tech is committed to growing a new generation in science and technology with Sampoerna University. Kazuya did not explain whether they would explore collaborative research opportunities in the future.
