Megawati On KIM Plus: I Talk To Myself, It's A Shame PDIP Lives Alone
Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri responded to the emergence of the discourse on the formation of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus in the 2024 Pilkada in a number of strategic areas such as Jakarta.
Megawati admitted that she did not know what the term KIM Plus means. He also asked the candidates for regional heads who were present in the PDIP's recommendations for support.
"Wow, what's the other name, KIM Plus. Grandma, KIM Plus, what's the plus, what's the opo yo?" said Megawati at the PDIP DPP office, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14.
With regard to this, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia saw obstacles in the nomination and formation of a coalition in the Pilkada. According to him, there are efforts that make it difficult for the PDIP to find a coalition and determine which candidates for regional heads are promoted by certain regions.
"It's funny if you look at this election now. This one can't be the same as that one. Create what is this name now. I've heard it, just look at it," said Megawati.
"Then I like to talk to myself, 'I'm sorry, PDI-P, confined, twisted, lives alone, that's it," he continued.

In fact, President Soekarno's daughter assessed that all election participants have the same position and rights before the law to be elected by the public.
"So, why is there a direct election? So that the people become the highest judges. He is with his conscience with his mind that choosing the leader is permitted and people should accept it," he explained.
