PAN Has Not Proposed The Name Of Cawagub Dedi Mulyadi After Bima Arya Withdraws From The West Java Regional Election Nomination

JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) has not yet proposed the name of the deputy governor candidate (cawagub) after the former Mayor of Bogor for two terms as well as the chairman of the PAN DPP, Bima Arya Sugiarto, resigned from his candidacy in the West Java Pilkada.

PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan said his party had just agreed on the name of Gerindra politician Dedi Mulyadi as a candidate for governor of West Java with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"We have not yet agreed with our West Java, which KIM has agreed with Kang Dedi, his deputy," said Zulhas at the PAN DPP office, South Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14.

Just like West Java, continued Zulhas, the Jakarta Pilkada is the same. Zulhas said, the political party in KIM has not yet discussed the name of the cawagub to accompany Ridwan Kamil to a contest in the Jakarta Pilkada. Although there has been a proposal for the name of a senior PKS politician, Suswono.

"In the end, namely earlier (Suswono, ed), only there has been no complete discussion on KIM, if the RK is done," he said.

Bima Arya officially resigned from the 2024 Pilkada contestation, after KIM brought Dedi Mulyadi as a Candidate for Governor of West Java.

Bima Arya stated, because his party is part of KIM, he will obey the party's decision.

Bima is also ready to follow the party's decision by supporting the former Regent of Purwakarta for two terms, Dedi Mulyadi, to contest the West Java Pilkada.

"The General Chair conveyed the decision from the National Mandate Party as a member of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition which fully supports Kang Dedi Mulyadi's candidacy as a Candidate for Governor of West Java," said Bima Arya, Wednesday, August 7.

"Of course from the start I have said that if the party ordered me to move, if I go forward I will go forward, if I go right to the right I will go right. But if the party asks not to continue, I am sami'na wa ato'na hear obey and follow the decision of the party leadership," he added.
