Ukraine Still Attacks Kursk, Russia Destroys 117 Drones To 4 Tactical Missiles

JAKARTA - Russian air defenses destroyed 117 drones and four tactical missiles launched last night by Ukraine targeting several areas including Kursk.

The missile and 37 drones were destroyed in the Kursk area, the ministry said via the Telegram messaging app.

Meanwhile, 37 drones directed to the Voronezh region were also destroyed. The Russian ministry did not provide the total air weapons launched by Ukraine.

Last week, Ukrainian troops crossed Russia's borders and launched an attack on the Kursk Region.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, commented on the attack, saying Ukraine had carried out another massive provocation and opened fire on civilian targets blindly.

Most recently, the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has requested access to Kursk territory in Russia to investigate alleged human rights violations by the Ukrainian armed forces.

OHCHR spokesman Ravina Shamdasani said gathering information about the situation would be difficult without such access.

The UN agency also received a letter from Russia's Human Rights Commissioner, Tatyana Moskalkova, urging the organization to condemn Ukraine's acts of terrorism in the Kursk Region, OHCHR spokesman Elizabeth Thorsell said.
