In addition to medal-winning athletes and their coaches, bonuses will also be awarded to other athletes who this year get tickets to qualify for Paris.
The amount of bonuses for athletes who do not bring home medals will be announced next.
"For all athletes and coaches who do not receive medals, there is a form of appreciation and commitment from the Government. We also give bonuses," said Dito.
Dito said that the athletes who had just returned from Paris would be given a one-day break before being received by President Joko Widodo on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and continued with the procession.
"We last got two golds 32 years ago. So, the procession will be held. However, athletes have just arrived, so they take a day off," said the Menpora.
Rizki climbed the highest podium and brought home a gold medal after the final recorded a total lift of 354 kilograms (snatch 155 kilograms and clean and jerk 199 kilograms).
The clean and jerk force escorted Rizki to break the Olympic record which previously belonged to the Chinese lifter, Shi Zhyong, weighing 198 kilograms.
The athlete from Serang, Banten, is ahead of his competitor Weeraphon Wichuma (Thailand) who received silver and Bozhidar Andreev (Bulgaria) who brought home a bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Veddriq brought home gold after stopping China's representative, Wu Peng, in the final. The athlete from Pontianak finished with a record 4.75 seconds or 0.02 seconds ahead of his opponent.
The achievement of these two gold medals repeated Indonesia's success at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. At that time, Indonesian received two gold medals from badminton.
Two gold medals in one Olympics are still Indonesia's best record in history. In addition, this is the first time Indonesia has won gold from sports other than badminton.
