Realization Of The Budget For The 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony At IKN Capai Rp87 Billion, Higher Than Jakarta
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) noted that the budget for the celebration of the commemoration ceremony of the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan on August 17, 2024, will reach IDR 87 billion.
"This year we have prepared a budget of IDR 87 billion for 17 activities at IKN," said Director General of Budget of the Ministry of Finance Isa Rachmatarwata at a press conference on our State Budget in July 2024, Tuesday, August 13.
Isa conveyed that the realization of the budget for the implementation of Indonesian Independence Day activities at IKN was higher when compared to the celebration budget in Jakarta last year which reached Rp53 billion.
"Compared to last year's Jakarta, it was Rp53 billion," he said.
Isa said that the budget increase in the celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day at IKN was due to the procurement of new ceremonial equipment at IKN and the increase in the budget also included the procurement of physical facilities.

"The increase is mainly due to the procurement of new ceremony tools there, especially the details of the large costs, the ceremony tools, then the preparation of physical facilities that need to be done in a new place there," he explained.
In addition, Isa conveyed that the high budget allocation for the celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at IKN was also for banquet activities for guests, which was also recognized as larger than when in Jakarta considering that the location of the activity needed special access.
"The housing is also quite large compared to Jakarta, especially perhaps because the location is not yet available, there are enough infrastructure for this banquet," he said.
