Bandarlampung City Government Budgets IDR 200 Million Benahi Elephant Monument
LAMPUNG - The Bandarlampung City Government (Pemkot) has budgeted IDR 200 million to fix the Adipura Monument or Elephant Monument which is an icon of the local city."Yes, for the improvement of the Adipura Monument, we have budgeted Rp. 200 million. This is to beautify the face of Bandarlampung City," said Acting Head of the Bandarlampung City Public Works Office, Muaimin in Bandarlampung, as reported by Antara, Monday, August 12.The funds prepared are for the repair of ceramics, repaints, fountains, plant repairs and other things in the Adipura Monument."This improvement is for the beauty of Bandarlampung City. Moreover, the Adipura Monument is in the middle of the city, so don't be beautiful," he said.Mayor of Bandarlampung, Eva Dwiana, said the purpose of improvement was to beautify the Adipura Monument in the center of Bandarlampung City."We did not change the shape, only changed the color of the paint, and the floor will be upgraded again and beautified," he said.He also emphasized the importance of keeping the Bandarlampung City icon in order to remain an attraction for local residents and newcomers who stop by this city.
"The Adipura monument is not only a symbol of cleanliness but also an identity of the residents of Bandarlampung. So with this restoration, we hope that it will remain a symbol of the pride of this city," he said.
