Continue IKN Development, Prabowo: I'm One Of The Investors

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense and President-elect Prabowo Subianto claimed to be one of the investors in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. Prabowo made an investment in IKN as an entrepreneur.

Prabowo made this statement while accompanying President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after reviewing the MBH Embung in the Central Core Area of the IKN Government, Monday, August 12.

"One of the investors (IKN), myself, as an entrepreneur," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also promised to complete the IKN development project, in East Kalimantan. The promise was conveyed by Prabowo before the plenary cabinet session began.

"Oh, we'll definitely finish it," he said.

He said the construction of the new capital city as a whole would take a long time. However, his party is trying to complete the construction as soon as possible.

"So yes, this development is indeed running and must continue if we can speed it up, if possible. But of course later all experts must be mobilized all of our capabilities. If I'm optimistic I'll see. I think it's very good," he said.

Furthermore, Prabowo targets IKN to start using well in the next 5 years. In fact, IKN will look good in the next 6 years.

"But if I'm optimistic, in 4 to 5 years, I think it will work very well in my opinion. I'm not an engineering expert, but I see the potential. I'm sure 5 to 6 years will be good to finish," he said.
