Jack Black Make Sure Tenacious D Will Return At The Right Time

JAKARTA - The duo rock comedy Tenacious D is in hiatus. Jack Black decided to rest the group after Kyle Gass' controversial comments about Donald Trump's assassination attempt some time ago.

Even so, the musician and actor who starred in the film School of Rock has confirmed that Tenacious D has not been dissolved and will return from his hiatus.

"We need to rest," said Jack Black during a recent Variety interview.

"Everyone needs to rest. One day, and we will come back," continued Black.

Although there was bad news about Black and Gass' relationship, the 54-year-old musician confirmed that his friendship with Gass had no problems.

Black sees what happens as something normal, and he is ready with Gass to return via Tenacious D.

"Yes, we are friends. It doesn't change. Things like this sometimes take time. And we will come back when the time is right," Black said.

For information, Black and Gass founded Tenacious D in 1994. They released their self-titled debut album in 2001 and remained active until their recent hiatus.

Meanwhile, Gass' comments sparked widespread controversy.

Black responded on social media, saying he was shocked by the joke and temporarily halted band activities.

All future concert schedules were canceled, although Tenacious D was on Oceania's arena tour at the time.

Gas has also apologized in social media uploads that have now been deleted.
