Red And White Flag Duplikat From Jakarta Arrives In Mimika, Ceremony Will Be Used August 17

CENTRAL PAPUA - The Red and White Flag Duplikat from Jakarta has arrived and is accepted by the Mimika district government (Pemkab), Central Papua Province.

Acting (Pj) Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Mimika Regency Petrus Yumte said the reception was made at the Regent's State House Hall in Timika on Friday, August 9, 2024.

"The commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024 is the final moment of the term of office of the Regent and Deputy Regent of Mimika Omaleng Rettob (OmTop) so that the committee tries as much as possible to involve the entire community," he said in Timika, Central Papua, Friday, August 9, which was confiscated by Antara.

He hopes that all people can be actively involved in their respective ways and works, in order to fill Indonesia's independence in Mimika Regency.

"We hope that the students who are a group of flag-raising troops can carry out their duties as well as possible, because the flag to be flown is a tangible manifestation of the struggle of the heroes of Indonesia," he said.

He reminded the troops who spread the Red and White Flag that the struggle and sincerity of the heroes was willing to die, solely to maintain, defend, and seize the power of the invaders in Indonesia.

"Let's all Mimika people, we build this area by filling Indonesia's independence through real works in their respective fields as well as expertise," he said.

Head of the National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) of Mimika Regency, Yan S. Purba, added that for the first time the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) has submitted a duplicate of the Red and White Flag for all regions in Indonesia.

"The Red and White Flag Duplicate will be used at the anniversary ceremony of Indonesia's Independence on August 17 and the Commemoration of the Birthday of Pancasila on June 1 every year. The Red and White Flag Duplification will be replaced every 10 years," he said.
